Calling all kids! It’s time to cast your votes for the annual Character Ranking Contest held by Sanrio. This global event is a unique opportunity for children everywhere to declare which Sanrio character they believe is the cutest and most cuddly.

This year’s theme, “Sending Cheers and Hugs to Everyone Doing Their Very Best,” is all about encouragement and support. It serves as a heartwarming reminder for children that every character, regardless of their ranking, deserves to be celebrated and cherished.
Last Year’s Winners and This Year’s Potential Champions
Sanrio’s adorable puppies stole the show last year. Pompompurin clinched the top spot, followed closely by Cinnamoroll and Pochacco. This year, however, the title is up for grabs with 90 Sanrio characters vying for the crown. The anticipation is building up, and the winner will be announced on June 28.
How to Vote in the Sanrio Character Ranking Contest
Families can participate in the voting process either online at ranking.sanrio.co or by visiting Sanrio stores and cafes across North America. Each child can cast their vote once per day. As a bonus, they can also receive an “I Voted” sticker from participating stores, while supplies last.
Exclusive Sanrio Experiences and Limited-Time Offers
Throughout the voting period, children can immerse themselves in the vibrant world of Sanrio. Select locations will offer fan experiences and limited-time items. At Hot Topic locations and Sanrio stores and cafes, kids can attend character meet-and-greets to cheer on their favorite characters after voting.
If you’re in California or planning a visit to Universal Studios Hollywood, don’t miss out on the opportunity to cast your vote in person at the Hello Kitty and Friends Cafe. This location is offering a limited-time menu featuring event-inspired items, such as the Mixed Berry Sponge Cake and Mixed Berry Black Tea Lemonade.
