Paramount and Hidden Pigeon Company are set to expand the imaginative world of children’s literature to the small screen. They are developing two series based on the popular stories of Mo Willems: The Elephant & Piggie Show! and The Pigeon Show! Starring the Pigeon. Willems’ early reader series, Elephant & Piggie, is being transformed into a warm and comedic pre-K show, The Elephant & Piggie Show!. Set in the fictional neighborhood of Willemsburg, the show explores the charmingly chaotic friendship of Elephant Gerald and his best friend Piggie.
The Pigeon Show! Starring the Pigeon
Another of Willems’ beloved characters, the Pigeon, will debut in its own series, The Pigeon Show! Starring the Pigeon. This series will depict the everyday struggles of a pigeon who just wants to be heard. The show will feature familiar characters from the book series and introduce new ones like Nana-Dactyl, Ima Pigeon, and Doug Pigeon.
