A Decade-and-a-Half of LEGO Ninjago: Celebrating 15 Years of Ninja Fun
This year marks a significant milestone for LEGO Ninjago, a beloved franchise of The LEGO Group. The brand is celebrating its 15th anniversary with a variety of new games, collaborations, building sets, and events to delight fans of all ages, whether they started their Ninja journey with Masters of Spinjitzu in 2011 or joined the action with Dragons Rising.
LEGO Fortnite Odyssey Welcomes LEGO Ninjago
The anniversary celebration began last month with a significant update to the popular LEGO Fortnite Odyssey game. This update introduced a new LEGO Ninjago Island for players to explore, complete with Ninjago-themed characters, skins, and emotes available in the game’s digital shop. Fans can look forward to a second update later this year, providing even more opportunities to master their true potential in the game.
New LEGO Ninjago Board Game Launching Soon
This year also sees The LEGO Group partnering with renowned board game publisher Asmodee to create a new strategy game called Ninjago Destiny’s Bounty Adventures. In this cooperative game, families work together to defend the iconic ship from infamous villains from across the universe, unlocking new abilities and improving their skills as they play. The board game is set to hit retail shelves worldwide on July 30.
Special-Edition LEGO Ninjago Building Sets
Children and fans can bring the action to their homes with three special-edition LEGO Ninjago building sets. The highlight of the collection is the Lloyd’s Titan Mech, a 1,293-piece poseable model equipped with a large sword, a shield that transforms into wings, and three minifigures. This set is available for pre-order now, with an official launch scheduled for March.
Complementing the line is the LEGO Ninjago Ninja Character Display, featuring the monastery gate and eight minifigures from the first season, and the Four Weapons Blacksmith Set, which recreates the beloved shop from the series with interactive details. Both building kits are available now online and in stores, and are recommended for fans aged 14 years and up.
LEGO Ninjago Anniversary Events
Beyond games and building sets, the LEGO Ninjago 15th anniversary celebration extends to physical events around the world, from LEGO Store pop-ups to exciting convention activations. Families visiting LEGOLAND theme parks can participate in a range of events scheduled throughout spring, including new costumed characters, scavenger hunts, 4D movies, and more. These activities will be available in LEGOLAND parks in California, Florida, Japan, Korea, Germany, and Windsor, ensuring a global celebration for all fans.
