Disney’s New Album: Mickey & Friends in Main Street Country
Mickey & Friends, a music series by Disney that has successfully delighted fans with a pop-punk album, A Whole New Sound, is set to return this spring. This time the beloved characters are bringing some southern charm to the mix with their new album, Main Street Country. The album, produced by Walt Disney Records, is a country EP that features five of Disney’s classic songs, reimagined by popular country music stars.
Disney’s Classic Hits in Country Twang
The new EP includes a few favourites from Disney Channel Original Movies. Fans of the cult classic Lemonade Mouth will enjoy Dasha’s nostalgic cover of “She’s So Gone”. Meanwhile, Restless Road brings a fresh rendition of “The Climb” by Miley Cyrus, infusing new harmonies that capture the original’s emotion beautifully.
Animated Film Melodies in Country Style
If you or your kids are more inclined towards songs from animated films, then there’s good news for you too. The magic of Tarzan is retold in a new way with Maddie & Tae’s cover of “You’ll Be in My Heart.” Additionally, musicians Kane Brown and Katelyn Brown swap the enchanted rose for a guitar, as they present a ballad rendition of “Beauty and the Beast” from the iconic animated film.
The EP’s finale features BRELAND singing the empowering classic, “Go the Distance,” from Hercules. Complete with a live string section, this reimagining serves as a reminder for kids that they can achieve the impossible, adding a touch of inspiration to the album.
Availability and Release
Main Street Country will be available from April 3 on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and other streaming services. Fans who are eagerly waiting for the release can presave the EP now. A special, exclusive vinyl edition of the album can also be preordered from Disney Music Emporium. This release is sure to bring some country nostalgia to Disney fans of all ages.
