Cryptozoic Entertainment’s Cryptkins Return Through Kickstarter Campaign
Prepare for a chilling thrill as Cryptozoic Entertainment announces their Kickstarter campaign to resurrect their adored creepy-cute collectible line, Cryptkins. The campaign, which is available now, includes the eagerly-anticipated Cryptkins: Series 3 vinyl figures along with some exciting new ventures for these mythical creatures. The campaign will be accepting pledges until June 26, with rewards expected to be delivered by March 2027.
Cryptkins: Series 3 Vinyl Figures
The campaign features the third series of the Cryptkins vinyl figures. These collectibles are housed in crate-inspired mystery boxes, each revealing a 2.25-inch-tall cryptid with an accompanying Bio Card that details their traits and personality. Collectors will be on the hunt for 13 unique figures, including 10 common types like Skunk Ape, Champ, Imp, and Jackalope. The series also features the rare Death Valley Chupacabra and Indigo Gryphon chase figures, along with one ultra-rare creature that is still shrouded in mystery.
Cryptkins: On the Loose! Board Game
Not only are Cryptkins returning as collectible figures, but they’re also starring in their first-ever tabletop game — Cryptkins: On the Loose!. This cooperative board game, designed for 2-4 players aged 8 and up, presents an exciting challenge to families. Players must work together to recapture the Cryptkins as they enter the real world while preventing an ancient force known as “Bob” from breaking through. The game even includes an exclusive Sasquatch vinyl figure and allows players to swap in their Series 3 Cryptkins for the standees.
Expansions to the Board Game
The campaign also includes three expansions to the board game. The Custom Terrain Pack and the Unknown Terrain Pack offer players the ability to personalize their board layouts and gameplay experience. The Kickstarter exclusive Big Trouble Expansion incorporates classic Cryptkins and new punchboard ID cards into the base game.
Additional Rewards
On top of these exciting game features, the campaign also offers a variety of add-ons and exclusives. These include the Bone-Chilling Hydra vinyl figure, an 8-inch Bigfoot Plush, a four-pack of Enamel Pins, and a 64-piece puzzle featuring the Cryptkins’ Clubhouse. Backers can unlock these rewards at different tiers and as the campaign meets certain stretch goals.
